WAYS TO HELP

General DonationsA simple gift, no matter how small, will help us to provide training in all aspects of life; orientation and mobility, daily living skills, Braille, technology, as well as social and recreational opportunities. Your gift helps to maintain these programs. We accept donations by check, cash, VISA and Master Card.

Memorial Gifts
You can make a gift in honor or in memory of someone or some event that is special to your life. The donation not only shows how much you care about a special someone, but also how much you care about the important work that we are doing at the Earle Baum Center of the Blind. Tree of Life
The Earle Baum Center has an outstanding way to honor and commemorate those special to you, our Tree of Life. The Tree is located in our office lobby for all to see and has individual “leaves” that can be engraved with a name. We ask for a minimum donation of $100 to have a leaf engraved and placed on this perpetual plaque. Made from cast bronze, the tree is tactile and beautiful. If you want to celebrate or remember someone special, consider including their name on the EBC “Tree of Life”.

ScholarshipsBuilt on a lifetime of community service, Dr. Elizabeth Cooley established a scholarship at the EBC to provide rehabilitation opportunities for many who would otherwise be left behind. From computer instruction for local students, to classes in cooking skills for homemakers, to instruction in financial mangement for seniors, Cooley Scholarships have enhanced employment opportunities for many, while providing the necessary skills for many of older citizens to maintain full and independent lifestyles.

Fund Raising Events
From EarleFest to summer barbecues, have a fun time participating in our special events. Check the calendar to see what’s coming up.

Wills, Bequests, Trusts
Make your gift last a lifetime and beyond. Gifts and bequests let your gift continue working beyond your lifetime to help others achieve their goal of independence. Charitable organizations are not subject to gift or estate taxes so the gift continues to support the cause dear to your heart without being diminished by the IRS.
